RESEARCH STUDY ON FORENSIC INVESTIGATION USING DNA FINGER PRINTING

ABSTRACT

The objective of the study is to detect the criminal by testing semen. Semen is a suspension of spermatozoa in seminal plasma which is a pool of different secretions by different structures such as vas deferens seminal vesicles, prostate gland, and mucous glands. To detect the seminal strain, physical, chemical tests were carried out. It is further confirmed by microscopic identification of spermatozoa which is followed by the staining process. Presence of spermatozoa is identified and concluded by the observation under microscope and further Isolation of DNA from Seminal Stains and perform PCR and STR by comparing DNA profiling helps as strong evidence in the court of law for the judgment.
