Abstract

A REVIEW ON FAST DISSOLVING THIN FLIMS

ABSTRACT

Mouth dissolving films are nowadays getting popularity as they are the films containing API. Fast dissolving strips does not require water to disintegrate, the API can be directly absorbed by the tongue within 2-3 seconds after administration. Its development was mainly targeted towards pediatric, geriatric and mentally retarded patient as they have problem with swallowing the tablet. The drug is absorbed through the mucosal site.
