ABSTRACT
This review is compilation of various techniques for measurement of residual solvent by headspace gas chromatography for Omeprazole drug. The measurement of residual solvent content is essential for all active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) according to the good manufacturing practices. In pharmaceutical samples, residual solvents can be monitored by using gas chromatography with headspace. Different chromatographic conditions include carrier gas, flow rate, detector temperature, injector temperature, loop temperature, transfer line temperature, GC cycle time. As per the ICH guidelines, validation parameters were performed for those developed methods.
