A SYMMETRIC DESCRIPTION OF EXTENDED-RELEASE TABLETS

ABSTRACT
Oral drug delivery is the most preferred route for the various drug molecules among all other routes of drug delivery because ease of administration which leads to better patient compliance. Recently, extended-release pharmaceutical products became a very useful tool in medical practice, offering a wide range of actual and perceived advantages to the patients. The extended-release product will optimize the therapeutic effect and safety of a drug at the same time improving patient convenience and compliance. The study aimed to explore the necessity, advantages and different techniques of extended-release matrix tablet to achieve continuous delivery of drugs at a predictable
rate and reproducible kinetics for preterm delivery and provide a therapeutic amount of a drug to the proper site of the body to achieve promptly and then maintain the desired drug concentration.
