COMPUTATIONAL STUDIES AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES OF BIFLAVONOIDS FROM SEMECARPUS ANACAIUM L.F NUTS

ABSTRACT
Amento flavone and Tetra hydro amentoflavone were isolated from Semecarpus anacardium L.f Nuts of Hot acetone extract by soxhlet extraction method, The isolated compounds like Amentoflavones and Tetra hydroamento flavone were subjected for Docking, In order to explore the binding mode and understanding of key active site residues of extracted natural compounds such as Biflavonoids in PTP1B, molecular docking study has been performed. Tetra hydro amento flavones presented a broad spectrum of activity against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria and also antioxidant activity. This could therefore be ascertained that the relationship between structures of the compounds and observed biological activity. Computational study will help us in reducing the experimental work. The process of drug discovery involves the designing of molecules with appropriate pharmacophores with the help of various soft wares.
