ANALYTICAL AND BIO-ANALYTICAL METHODS OF RITONAVIR IN PURE FORM AND PHARMACEUTICAL DOSAGE FORMS

ABSTRACT
Ritonavir is a class of protease inhibitors. It is an antiretroviral drug used to treat HIV infection and AIDS. Ritonavir is frequently prescribed with highly active anti-retroviral therapy, not for its antiretroviral action, but as it inhibits the same host enzyme that metabolizes other protease inhibitors. Analytical and bio-analytical methods available for the estimation of ritonavir is presented in this review.
