ABSTRACT
Commonly medical treatment methods are used with products obtained from plants. In this study, the on diabetic wound healing effects of the plant extract of Vitex agnus-castus L. Chaste, which has medical significance, and phytochemical effects of secondary metabolites of this plant were researched. The aim of current study is to evaluate of histopathological and biochemical effects of Vitex agnus cactus (Hayıt, VAC) in wound healing on skins of rats. In this study, 30 Wistar albino rats were divided to five groups, Control (C), Sham, 65 mg/Kg, 265mg/kg and 465mg/kg. The extracts prepared for 21 days were applied to the wound area by injection into the skin rats. VAC seeds were obtained by oil with the Clevenger device. Stored in bottles at
+4ºC, and the content analyzes were determined by GC MS and HPLC. While the rate of healing increased in male rats, it was observed that female rats were rapidly recovering at different doses, it was noted that differences were observed in the wound healing process in male and female rats, and the rate of wound healing increased in male rats. In this study, the diabetic wound healing effects of VAC seed extract was investigated. In addition to the abundance of antioxidants in the bioactive content, our extract, which has high essential oil content and phenolic content, is in parallel with our results and literature data. Estradiol-17 β (E2) is the most active estrogen in living animals.
