ABSTRACT
The coronavirus disease 2019 which also commonly called COVID-19 caused due to the novel Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). This virus create a major challenge in front of all researchers to develop drug and vaccine effective against this pandemic. The vaccine or drug is not available on this pandemic till now. Many drugs like Remdesivir, Oseltamivir, Favipiravir, Ivermectin, etc. which show effect against virus but no any medication is prepared yet. This pandemic creates a major crisis all over the world and about 5 Million peoples were infected by this virus. This count shows necessity for developing drug. Remdesivir is a drug which is approved by US-FDA which shows effect against this virus. Also various medicines like Chloroquine or Hydroxychloroquine, drugs
which used to treat Malaria and Arthritis, an antiviral drug against influenza Favilavir, common flu drug Favipiravir, etc. shows effect against corona virus. The researchers found that there are should be seven major targeted sites like spike protein, envelope protein, envelope protein, protease, nucleocapsid protein, hemagglutinin esterase and helicase for which drug design should be develop. In this review article we provide data which is helpful to understand concepts about SARS-CoV-2 virus and ongoing drug development against this virus.
Keywords: SARS-CoV-2, vaccine, Remdesivir, nucleocapsid protein, Favilavir, Ivermectine etc.
