CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF VYADHI VARGIKARAN OF CARAK, SUSHRUTA AND VAGBHATTA

ABSTRACT

Classification of Roga(diseases) is not an easy task. Though it is not simple but the classical ayurvedic texts feel its need. Mainly classification of disease fully based on for the purpose of its diagnosis as well as treatment. The treaties make different classification in different angle which ultimately make the treatment procedure more specific and simple. Though there are no specific chapter has been mentioned for classification of the disease in the text, more over it is mentioned as scattered manner to maintain the proper logic thorough out the texts. After reviewing the order of classification by great trios it seems that in due course some new classification has been added with the older, perhaps it may be due to better understanding as well as some variation of the disease. The three Acharyaas give different classification according to their principle of treatment and may be due to time period.
