ABSTRACT
Chronotherapeutic drug delivery system, drug availability is matched with rhythms of the disease according to the time structure which results in the less adverse effects and maximum therapeutic effects. Salbutamol sulphate is short acting, selective beta-2 adrenergic receptor against used in the treatment of asthma and COPD. The main aim of this study was to explore to the feasibility of time dependent capsule device for chronotherapeutic delivery of salbutamol sulphate to treat nocturnal symptoms of asthma. In the present research work, we have attempted to develop pulse in cap system by using hydrophilic erodible tablet plugs and time delayed capsule device of salbutamol sulphate by using HPMC, Xanthan gum and Guar gum polymers.
