ABSTRACT

Ayurveda is a science of life which describes all the features of life right from the garbha awastha to the arishta lakshnas i.e. the lakshanas which define death. Ayurveda is the science of health where it has decribed the life in a broad aspect of changes right from foetal life to life on death bed and also the ways to live a healthy life to the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of a diseased life. Amongst all the features of science of Ayurveda arishta lakshans i.e. arishta vigyaan described in the ayurvedic texts is very unique feature which can be assessed without any modern tools and just using the indriya (senses). This article focuses on the study of arishta lakshanas related specifically to skin.
