ABSTRACT
Immunomodulation and inflammation are linked to each other in an intricate manner. Immunomodulation occurs when it is controlled or limited inflammation. On the other hand, severe inflammation leads to morbidity or even mortality. Seven important medicinal plants i.e, zerumbet, Zingiber Hedychium flavescens, Alpinia galanga and Alpinia nigra to determine potency of extracts to immuno modulatory & antiinflammatory activity. During experimentation, rats were divided into 5 groups, with 6 rats each. Indomethacin (2μg/mL) which was taken as the positive control. Arthritis was induced with After inducing arthritis the rats were kept on observation for 20 days from the day of experimentation period.
