SIMULTANEOUS EQUATION SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHODS FOR ESTIMATION OF CILNIDIPINE AND TELMISARTAN IN PHARMACEUTICAL FORMULATION

ABSTRACT
Simple spectrophotometric method were developed and validated for determination of cilnidipine and telmisartan using two wavelengths 357 and 297 nm. The accuracy, precision and linearity ranges of the proposed method were determined. The method is linear in the range of 1.0–80.0 μg/mL for TEL, 1.0-30.0 μg/ml for CIL and exhibited good correlation coefficient (TEL R2=0.9992, CIL R2=0.9990) and excellent mean recovery (TEL 99.44–99.98%, CIL 98.06-98.31%). The method were validated and the specificity was assessed by analyzing drugs. The method were applied for the determination of the cited drug in its pharmaceutical preparation and the obtained results were statistically compared with those of a reported method. The
comparison showed that there is no significant difference between the proposed methods and the reported method regarding both accuracy and precision.
