VITILIGO: A PIGMENTATION SKIN DISEASE

ABSTRACT
Vitiligo is an acquired depigmentation of the skin, where epidermal melanocytes are damaged. The exact pathogenesis of vitiligo remains unclear and is usually complex and multifaceted. The current article briefly summarizes all previous and currently available such studies involving in vitiligo covers all the aspects like its areas affected, types, pathogenises, treatments of the disease. Various hypotheses have been proposed to explain the pathophysiological mechanisms that are involved in this disease, and studies have shown the participation of
autoimmune, neural and many other hypothesis processes in the pathogenesis of vitiligo. Generally People feel upset or depressed about the change in their appearance due to vitiligo so there are several things one can do to treat this disorder they should find a doctor who knows how to treat vitiligo. People should learn about the disorder and treatment choices. This can help them make decisions about their treatment. This article summarise the different treatments brought forward so far for vitiligo.
