Electrolytes are substances that dissociates into ions in solution and acquires the capacity to conduct electricity, informally known as ‘lytes’. Electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, chloride and acetate necessary for the maintenance of numerous cellular functions.[1]
