ABSTRACT
Ayurveda is a unique science which has everything in it. By following the principles of Ayurveda „Ayu‟ gets strengthened and helps us to achieve Dharma, Artha Kama and Moksha by attaining Arogya. But this Arogya will not be consistent as we tend to do mistake by consuming Ahita Ahara and Vihara resulting in Anarogya. Bringing back to normalcy is very essential. To bring back to normalcy Chikitsa has to be administered, for which we need to have thorough understanding of the Avastha of Vyadhi and Vyaditha. To assess the Avastha we have special tools with us that is „Pareeksha‟. Several types of Pareeksha are available in Ayurvedic classical texts which
include Dashavidha Pareeksha, Asthasthana Pareeksha, Shadvidha Pareeksha, Panchavidha Pareeksha, Trividha Pareeksha…etc Among these Dashavidha Pareeksha except Vikruthi Pareeksha has to be done to understand the overall condition of the Rogi and Vikruthi Pareeksha is to be done to explore the factors which are responsible for the Vyadhi and to know the Bala of the Roga. Hence proper understanding of Roga and Rogi Bala is very essential to make the Chikitsa successful and purposeful.
