Abstract

THE COMPOSITION AND TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT OF THE GEL DERMATOTROPIC PRODUCT WITH SAPROPEL EXTRACT

Strus Oksana* and Polovko Nataliia

ABSTRACT

The goal of our work was to develop the composition and technology of the gel with dermatotropic action with sapropel extract for the treatment of wound process in accordance with modern medical and biological requirements. SSDFs were evaluated by the following indices: description, homogeneity, stability (colloidal, thermal, mechanical), the pH value, structural and mechanical parameters in accordance with the requirements of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine 2.0, European Pharmacopoeia 10.0, the State Standard of Ukraine No. 4765:2007 and the algorithm of SSDF creation. Gels make up 5% of dermatological preparations for wound treatment. Aqueous dispersions of carbomers on neutralization form high-viscous gels. Basic materials are being used for neutralizing carbomer dispersions. Taking into consideration the alkaline environment of the sapropel extract (the pH value in the range 11-12) is the probability to neutralize the carbomer by extract sapropel without adding of the neutralizing agent. The concentration of gel-forming agent and hydrophilic non-aqueous solvent in gel has been substantiated. Thus, according to the obtained results the gel composition under conditional name “Saprogel” was developed, containing aqueous extract of sapropel, carbopol Ultrez 10, glycerin, potassium sorbate and purified water. The technological scheme of pharmaceutical manufacturing process of the “Saprogel” production was proposed.

Keywords: gel, sapropel extract, dermatotropic product, technology.
