ABSTRACT
For many years, circulatory system diseases have been leading in the death rate of the planet's population. Recent WHO data suggest that cardiovascular disease (CVD) causes more than 30% of all deaths in the world every year. In 2005, 17 million deaths were caused by pathology of the cardiovascular system, of which 7 million were due to ischemic (coronary) heart disease (CHD) and more than 5.5 million were caused by pathology of the cerebrovascular system.[1]
