Spasoff V.*, Sakelariev P. and Fidanov M.
ABSTRACT
The number of hip fractures continues to increase worldwide. Trochanteric fractures are the most common fractures of the proximal hip (around 35-40%), especially in elderly patients. Usually these patients have osteoporosis and additional comorbidities and functional disabilities. They are associated with high mortality risk, especially during the first six months after the fracture.
