ABSTRACT
Nanotechnology is a craft of matter and materials that game plan with particle size in nanometer size range. A Nanosuspension is the submicron colloidal dispersion of drug particles. It contains very finely colloid biphasic dispersed solid drug particles in aqueous vehicle size below 1 micro meter. In the formulation consideration, Stabilizers, organic solvent, co surfactant, and other additives are involved. In the characterization of Nanosuspension, mean particle size and size distribution, crystalline state and particle morphology, surface charge, i.e. Zeta potential are involved. On basis of route of drug administration therapeutic classes are divided. The Nanosuspension is more stable in nature due to high surface area of nano size particles preventing agglomeration of the drug crystal. The application of Nanosuspension includes various branches like Bioavailability enhancement, Intravenous administration, mucoadhesion of nanoparticles, Parenteral drug delivery, Pulmonary drug delivery, Targeted drug delivery, Ocular drug delivery, etc. The future perspectives of Nanosuspension involve nanocrystal formulation. It is more efficient oral administration due to solubility and dissolution rate in intestinal region.
