ABSTRACT

Snake and snake bites are mythical attars in the mind of people around the world, based on the geographical position and climatic condition. Snakes are distributed throughout the earth's surface. Snake-bite is an occupational, environmental and climatic hazard in urban and rural areas. In present study we observed and compared the signs & symptoms and treatment of snake bite cases according to classical and modern text reported at Osmanabad district hospital. It will be useful to summarize the general distribution of the various kinds of snakes in Osmanabad, as it will give the reader an idea of the geographical distribution of the species that are likely to be found in various parts of Osmanabad.
