ABSTRACT
Odisha is famous as a rich herbal diversity state in Indian because varieties of plant species are being found here. The present investigation is regarding the diversity of medicinal plants in the campus of Saraswati +3 Science College, Bhawanipatna and it’s adjacent areas, Kalahandi District, Odisha. The studies of biodiversity have better implication, as ecologists try greatly to document global biodiversity. Biodiversity studies are basically important as a means of improving our understanding of the structure and functioning of ecological communities. The flora of this area is not yet documented and the present paper is a documentation of the medicinal plants. The present investigation explored and identified 108 species of medicinal plants which were belonging to 99 genus and 54 families.
