DEVELOPMENT & VALIDATION OF UV-VISIBLE SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR ESTIMATION OF CLOPIDOGREL BISULFATE IN BULK & PHARMACEUTICAL FORMULATION

ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to develop simple, sensitive, cost effective, accurate, precise and rapid; UV visible spectrophotometric method for the quantification of Clopidogrel bisulfate in bulk and pharmaceutical formulation. The absorption maximum of the drug was found to be 220nm and beer’s law was obeyed in range 2-12 μg/mL-1. The method was shown linear in mentioned concentration having line equation 0.063x + 0.000 with correlation coefficient of 0.998 recovery values for Clopidogrel bisulfate ranged from 98% to 100%, Hence proposed method was precise, accurate, and cost effective. This method could be applicable for quantitative determination of the bulk as well as dosage formulation
