ABSTRACT
In this case study, a well diagnosed patient of Benign enlargement of prostate was treated with Narayana taila mixed with Dashmoola kwatha Basti (per rectum), once daily for 21 consecutive days in morning hours. The patient was evaluated based on subjective criteria i.e. International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS) and objective parameters i.e. Prostate gland USG & Uroflowmetry. Significant improvement was observed in signs and symptoms after completion of treatment. This case study highlighted the fact that conservative care with Narayana taila and Dashmoola kwatha Basti (per rectum) can be used for management in cases of Vatashtheela (BPH i.e. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia).
