ABSTRACT
Oxazine derivative is prevalent in numerous natural products and is extremely important in medicinal chemistry. Derivatives of 1,3-oxazine show interesting reactivity and can be used as chemotherapeutic agents and constitute an important class of various natural and synthetic product which possess antimicrobial, antioxidant activities. Various derivatives of 1,3 oxazine (1a,1b,1c) using an aldehyde, 4-amino aceto phenone and urea were synthesized with good yield. Antioxidant property of selected compound was carried out by using DPPH and Nitric Oxide Radical Scavenging assay. The compound 1a shows significant IC50, while comparing with standard Ascorbic acid. This may be due the presence of electron withdrawing
group in the synthesized derivative. The present study introduced some new derivatives of Oxazines with significant antioxidant potential and utilization of these compounds in cancer therapy.
Keywords: 1-3 Oxazine, Antioxidant, DPPH, Nitric Oxide.
