METHODS OF PREPARATION AND CHARACTERISATION OF NANOSPHERES
Prasad Kharche* and Varsha Dute
ABSTRACT
Nanospheres and Nanocapsules are small vesicles used to transport drugs. Nanocapsules are shell with an inner space loaded with drug of interest. Both systems are useful for controlling the release of drug and protecting it from the surrounding nanospheres are polymeric matrix of spherical shape that ranges between 10 to 200 nm in diameter. The drug dissolved entrapped encapsulated or attached to the matrix of polymer. Review mainly focused on methods and characterisation of nanospheres. Particle size, zeta potential drug entrapment efficiency. Fourier- transform, Differential scanning calorimetry, in vitro drug release, drug release kinetics.
Keywords: Nanospheres, Nanocapsules, Zeta-potential, Fourier-transform. Autoimmune disease, Gene targeting, Polymeric membrane.
