PREVALENCE AND DIFFERENT COMORBIDITIES LINKED TO DIABETIC PATIENTS IN DERA ISMAIL KHAN, KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA, PAKISTAN

ABSTRACT
Diabetes is very multisymtemetic disease which happens when sufficient insulin is no produced by the pancreas. Insulin is a hormone that controls sugar level of the blood. “Hyperglycaemia” or high sugar level in blood is a shared result of unrestrained diabetes and over time leads to high damage to different organs of the body, particularly the blood veins. It is a metabolic disorder (endocrinological) with a growing global prevalence and occurrence. We statistically analyzed 170 diabetic patients from district Dera Ismail Khan to check age wise and gender wise prevalence. Moreover, prevalence of some related complications were also checked. We found that diabetes is more prevalent in males in between the age of 41-60. While in related
complications eye problems and blood pressure is found to be commonly related to diabetes.
