ABSTRACT
Hand hygiene is a vital principle and exercise in the prevention, control, and reduction of healthcare- acquired infections. Right hand washing and drying methods stop the chain of transmission of deadly pathogens (from the contaminated surface/site) form hands to other parts of the body. Hand sanitization is the preeminent aid in preventing infections caused by different microorganisms and to get this, the use of hand sanitizer becomes must in recent circumstances. The purpose of present study was to prepare herbal foam hand sanitizer incorporating the leaves extract of leaves of Carica papaya with multidimensional activities. The formulation will be evaluated against the specified microorganism (Staphylococcus aureus and Candida
albicans) by culture sensitivity test.[1] This formulation will be in the form of foam. The reason behind the incorporation of papaya leaves extract in foam formulation is that, foam hand sanitizer does not easily slide off the hands like gel hand sanitizer. Also foam sanitizer is easier to spread around the hands.
