ABSTRACT
The poor aqueous solubility and slow rate of dissolution of many drugs has been a major industrial problem now a days, especially for pharmaceutical scientists who are working in the area of drug discovery and drug development in Pharmaceutical firm. Nanosuspension has been a good choice now a days for solve the problem like insolubility and low dissolution rate. It is a liquid dosage form for formulation and delivery of the hydrophobic drugs. It is a part of nanotechnology and the word nano refers to the particle size ranges from 1-1000nm. It contains nanoparticles that enhances the drug aqueous solubility and bioavailability by increasing the surface area of the drug particles and by increasing the dissolution rate that can be possible by reducing the particle size into submicron range. In this review study I explained about the introductory parts of suspension
followed by nanosuspension as well as its methods of preparation, characterization technique, and finally about the recent advancement, latest brand as well as different application of nanosuspension through different routes like parenteral, oral, pulmonary etc.
Keywords: Nanosuspension, Drug delivery system, Bioavailability, Solubility, Dissolution, Particle size.
