Pragya Srivastava, Taniya* and Vaishali Bhagvani
ABSTRACT
Toxicology is the division of medicine, biology and chemistry that deals with the study of adverse outcomes of chemical substances on living organisms. Toxic effects in biological system can be caused by chemicals that undergo biotransformation and dosage as well as the arrangement suited to induce toxicity. The response to poisonous materials among others, depend on the exposure condition, chemical and physical properties the vulnerability of biological systems. It is the study of mechanisms, symptoms, detection and treatment of poisoning, specifically the poisoning of people. Toxicology provides significant information for both medication and epidemiology in understanding
aetiology and in providing data as to the plausibility of observed associations between exposures as well as occupations and disease. The source of the poisonous compounds are natural products, synthetic organic chemical of use to society and others are by-products of waste disposal and industrial processes.
Keywords: Organophosphate, Formaldehyde, Botulism, Toxic, Toxicant.
