A CLINICAL STUDY TO EVALUATE THE EFFICACY OF PALASHYAVANI YOG IN THE MANAGEMENT OF PURISHAJA KRIMI IN CHILDREN W.S.R.TO INTESTINAL WORM INFESTATION

ABSTRACT
Gastrointestinal parasites are the most common infections of the children in developing countries. The present clinical study was done to evaluate the efficacy of Palashyavani Yog in purishaja krimi w. s. r. to intestinal worm infestation in children, to followed the samshamana chikitsha as the line of treatment described in Bhaisajya Ratnawali. A simple randomized clinical trial had been carried out in 41 patients, suffering from cardinal sign and symptoms of koshtagata krimi via. udarashoola (abdominal pain), aruchi (loss of appetite), atisara (diarrhoea) and vistambha (constipation) etc and showing the presence of ova/cyst/worms of intestinal helminthes on microscopic stool examination. The study was conducted under a single group for a
period of 15 days with pre and post stool test. Overall assessment showed statistically significant results of this study.
