A REVIEW ON HEALTH PREVENTION THROUGH COMMUNICATION AND HEALTH EDUCATION

ABSTRACT
“Health is a state of complete physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being and not merely an absence of disease or infirmity”. Communication is a more than mere exchange of information. The developing countries are now beginning to exploit the current “Communication revolution” to put today’s health information at the disposal of families, to help people to achieve health by their own actions & efforts. Communication is important for to stimulate individual & community self-reliance & participation to achieve health development. We have a situation today, in which there are tremendous achievement of the human intellect, but at the same time it
is becoming increasingly clear that there are certain serious and intractable problems which the human race is facing. Major communicable, non- communicable diseases are in the rise in this century. Hence health education is prevention. provide opportunities for people to learn how to identify and analyse health and health problems.
