ONCOCYTOMA OF THE PAROTID GLAND: A CASE REPORT AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

ABSTRACT
Salivary gland tumors are rare. Almost 80% tumor arises in parotid gland. Along with other rare timor, Oncocytoma is one of them. Oncocytomas are benign tumor arising from the specialized epithelial cells. Herewith reporting the case of a patient with right facial swelling since 5 yrs. Imaging studies revealed well defined lesion of 3.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 cms in size seen in the right parotid region, not attached to the underlying structures. The mass was localised and non infiltrating. Subsequently, a biopsy confirmed the presence of an oncocytoma. Along with case report, here we tried to highlight the nature ofOncocytoma.
