ABSTRACT
Pyogenic granuloma is a relatively common benign mucocutaneous lesion occurring intra orally or extra orally. It is most common non-neoplastic soft tissue enlargements of the oral cavity. It occurs most commonly in the gingiva, lips, tongue and buccal mucosa. The present case series describes a localized inflammatory hyperplasia of gingiva. The histological findings done after excisional biopsy were suggestive of pyogenic granuloma. This article describes how use of 980 nm diode laser can act as an adjunct for removal of pyogenic granuloma.
Keywords: Pyogenic granuloma, diode laser, inflammatory hyperplasia.
