CHOCOLATE CYST: A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT
Introduction: The term chocolate cyst was used used by Sampson in 1921 to describe endometrial cyst of ovary. Chocolate cyst and endometrial cyst are used interchangeably. Chocolate cyst are non cancerous, fluid filled cyst that forms typically within the ovaries. We report a 32 years female with chocolate cyst from ovarian follicles. The diagnosis of chocolate cyst was confirmed by laproscopic findings. Ultrasound confirmed that it has developed from follicle. The chocolate cyst was diathermized or drained and treated with danazol immediately.
