MARKETING AUTHORIZATION AND STRATEGIES FOR THE PROMOTION OF DRUGS IN INDIA, EUROPE AND USA

ABSTRACT
Developing a new drug requires great amount of research work in chemistry, manufacturing, controls, preclinical science and clinical trials. Every country has its own regulatory authority, which is responsible to enforce the rules and regulations and issue the guidelines to regulate the marketing of the drugs. After bringing the drug in to the market today in competitive market, the marketing strategies play vital role in promotion of products and services. There are many pharmaceutical companies in the industry competing with each other. Pharmaceutical companies are changing their marketing strategies to cope up with new challenges in the business environment. In this study I want to put emphasis on the importance of marketing strategies in the promotion of drugs and a comparative study on the marketing authorization in three different countries.
