ABSTRACT
BRAN compares Benefits, Risks, alternatives and mandatory use. This review paper’s main purpose is to study the BRAN analysis between transradial and transfemoral approach. Transradial and transfemoral are two main approaches that are used in catheterization and diagnostic purpose. Compared to the transfemoral approach, the transradial approach in intervention cardiology is sheltered, effective and sensitive. This study aims to compare the pros and cons in catheterization of transradial vs. transfemoral approach. We conducted this systematic review on BRAN analysis of transradial vs.
transfemoral catheterization. Reviews on these strategies were performed in PubMed, online medical literature analysis and retrieval system (MEDLINE), Google Scholar. The transradial approach is less perplexed with bleeding compared to the transfemoral approach; is more frugal and has reduced hospital mortality. Longer procedural duration and exposure to radiation are still concerns about the transradial approach, however. The results of this study show that the transradial approach in catheterization is reasonably safe, efficient and feasible in comparison to the transfemoral approach. A number of studies have shown that the modern approach is propitious in comparison with the classic approach.
