ABSTRACT
Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) is an analytical technique which is used to obtain an IR spectrum of transmittance and absorption of a Liquid, Gas and Solid. Here, in this study FT-IR is applied for the quantification of canagliflozin in bulk & tablet dosage form and the Beer’s concentration range found to be 3-11μg. Canagliflozin containing O-H, 3000 - 3500cm-1 range was chosen for linearity response, found to be 0.999 and the method which developed was analyzed for Various validation parameters like, specificity, Limit of detection (LOD), Limit of quantification (LOQ), Linearity of response, precision and accuracy. This Study exhibits the Strong potential of Quantitative analysis of FT-IR spectroscopy for analyzation of API to maintain the quality of the finished products and this study avoids usage of toxic solvents and costly chemicals and done
with safe approach. This kind of FTIR applications have a more Capability in place of classical methods in QA/QC for the Quantitative analysis of active constituents in pharmaceutical preparations.
