THE ROLE OF AVIPATTIKAR CHURNA IN STOMACH SPECIFIC BIOMARKERS OF URDHWAG AMLAPITTA

ABSTRACT
Amlapitta is a common disorder caused by vidagdha pitta such as aruchi (anorexia) tikta amlodgara (sour or bitter belching), hrud kantha daha (burning sensation in heart and throat), avipaka (indigestion) due to acid peptic digestion affecting more people in India. and prevalence is more. The sudy material comprised of 10 Urdhwag Amlapitta patients from OPD of Department of Kayachikitsa, Bharati Vidyapeeth University’s College Of Ayurveda,Pune. Patients were treated with Avipattikar Churna for 30 days and arbitrary scoring pattern was adapted for the assessment of Amlapitta. The results showed that Avipattikar Churna is more effective drug in Urdhwag Amlapitta without any Adverse Drug Reaction and no any study available on
biomarkers level. The result of the present study revealed the concept of Ayurvedic principal and practice of Urdhwag Amlapitta in Ayurveda with the help of biomarkers.
