ABSTRACT
In today's scenario, herbal medicines are highly competent in treating diverse disorders as they have negligible side effects and are more efficient in comparison with allopathic medicines. Bauhinia variegata L. Commonly known as kachnar, belongs to the family Caesalpiniaceae It is a tree of medium size, mostly found in the Himalayas at an altitude of 1300 m. The trend towards authentication, standardization and quality assurance of medicinal plants has been rapidly growing in recent existences for potential therapeutic significance. Regardless of the modern techniques, identification of plant drug by pharmacognostic study is more consistent. However there is no reported study on pharmacognostic parameters of flower of bauhinia variegata L. The main goal of this study is to investigate different pharmacognostic parameters and phytochemical analysis of flowers of Bauhinia variegata L. The present exploration withdraws the information on Bauhinia variegata Bauhinia variegata L. pharmacognostic and phytochemical analysis.
