COMPARATIVE STUDY OF ANTIOXIDANTS AND DNA PROTECTIVE ASSAY OF LOOSE TEA AND GREEN TEA AQUEOUS EXTRACT

ABSTRACT
In literature; it is reported that green tea and loose tea contains phytochemicals which are reported as beneficial for the human health. Now days much attention is given to the green tea as compared to the loose. In this study, I suggest a common method for the preparation of tea extract and compared their antioxidant and DNA protective assay of green tea and loose tea. On analyzing the antioxidant property the extract of loose tea showed same antioxidant property but more or less DNA protective effect as compared to the green tea. So in my opinion, using this method of preparation one can benefit the phytochemicals of
local tea as compared to the green tea as it is very costly.
