ABSTRACT
Artemisia annua was evaluated for in vitro anti cancer activity using Dalton’s Iymphoma ascites cells and ehrlich carcinoma cells. In vitro study with EAC cells showed mild anticancer activity. aqueous extract of leaf showed 15% at the concentration of 200 μgm and stem extract showed 26% at the concentration of 200μgm.invitro study with DLA cells also showed mild anticancer activity. Aqueous extract of the leaf showed 18% at the concentration of 200μgm and the stem extract showed 28% at the concentration of 200μgm. Here the concentration increases and also percentage of cytotoxicity increases. Concentration of the extracts is directly propotional to the percentage cytotoxicity.
Keywords: Artemisia annua Linn, in vitro Anti cancer activity. DLA method and EAC method.
