ABSTRACT
The main aim of the study is to formulate and evaluate oral tablets containing tenofovir disoproxil fumarate tablets by sublimation method for decreasing the onset time and increase the bioavailability of the formulation. Totally four different formulations were developed using various concentration of sublimation agent (camphor) and superdisintegrant (sodium starch glycolate) by direct compression method. Precompression parameter analysis proved that four batches were having good flow properties and suitable for direct compression method. The developed formulations were analyzed for FTIR, hardness, friability, weight variation test wetting time, disintegration
time and dissolution study. The results of the indicate F4 formulation was found to be best among the other formulations with 83.25% drug release.
Keywords: Fast dissolving tablets, Tenofovir, direct compression, sublimation, superdisintegrants.
