THE PROTECTIVE EFFECT OF GARLIC AND CURCUMIN AGAINST THE HARMFUL RADIATION PRODUCED FROM POWER STATION OF MOBILE PHONE

ABSTRACT

The intense about how the radiation emitted from cellular phone base station can harm healthy workers and residents near it was increased significantly. Therefore, this study was designed to study the protective effect of garlic and curcumin against the harmful radiation produced from power station of mobile phone. This study was performed using 62 adult Wistar animals were divided into four groups; namely, normal rats (n=10)(group I), rats, exposed to the stations, energy for 24 hours/day for 8 weeks (n=18)(group II), those which were exposed and treated with curcumin (n=12) (group III), aqueous garlic powder (n=12) (group IV), or their combination(n=11) (group V).
