ABSTRACT
Rosuvastatin calcium is an anti-lipedemic drug which is poor solubility and permeability and has low bioavilability. So there is need to improve dissolution, stability and permeability of the drug by formulating it as Rosuvastatin Nanoparticles. The present study was to formulation and optimization of Rosuvastatin Nanoparticles by use of various ratio of biodegradable chitosan polymer were prepared by solvent evaporation method. Polymer ratio employed for drug loading was 1:1 and various ratio and dried nanoparticle size was in the range of 234.7 nm by lyophilization process. Drug-polymer compatibility studies were carried out with FTIR and concluded that no chemical interaction between drug and polymer. Surface morphology
determined by SEM and Particle size, distribution was studied by zeta sizer, Zeta potential value was - 13.9 mv, Poly dispersing index was also calculated for the formulation. One ideal formulation was selected from various different patterns and optimized Rosuvasatin Nanoparticles can make easily as oral solid unit dosage form like tablet or capsule powder and also Increase absorption of drug that leads improve pharmacological action and shown better stability that helps manufacture needs also minimized finally increases patient compliance.
