ABSTRACT
The most Advantageous approach of the Gastro-retentive drug delivery systems improves the drug bioavailability and patient compliance by increasing the gastric residence time and controlling the drug release.These include floating/low density system, swelling and expanding system, bioadhesive/mucoadhesive system, high density system, magnetic system and raft forming system.
