ROLE OF TRIPHALADI PARISHEKA IN CHALAZION: A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT
Chalazion also called tarsal or Meibomian cyst, is a chronic non-infective lipogranulomatous inflammation of the Meibomian gland. It can be correlated with Utsangini. It is one of the Vartmagata tridosha pradhanatva roga and lekhana sadhya according to shusruta also mentioned by different Aacharyas. The case chosen in this study, patient has been suffering from watering, discomfort, congestion with projection of main bulk of the swelling on the skin side which is similar to “abyantaramukhi bahya utsanga” as mentioned by Shusruta. Triphaladi parishek is tried twice in a day for 8 days with followup of 2 weeks. Patient got gradual and complete relief from this symptoms.
