Due to massive pleural effusion on left side of lungs on chest X-ray and pus appearance along with AFB (+ve) on plural fluid analysis confirms left tubercular Pyothorax. As patient was suffering from TB, Cat-I ATT along with second line therapy Amikacin was prescribed. Other drugs like Ceftriaxone+salbutamol, Azithromycin and metronidazole were also prescribed as a supportive and symptomatic treatment to treat others complication and slow down progression. After the treatment chest-X- ray which shows pyothorax got resolved. The main goal of this study was to promote the earlier proper diagnosis of TB, timely proper anti-Tb therapy needed to treat tubercular pyothorax.
