ABSTRACT

Oral solid dosage form is most preferred route of drug administration for systemic effect. But many pediatric and geriatric patient are unwilling to take solid oral dosage form due to fear of choking but fast dissolving oral film gaining acceptance. Fast dissolving oral films gaining popularity in recent time because of good patient compatability, fast disintegration time, flexibility in transportation etc. fast dissolving oral film is simply placed on the patient’s toungue instantly wet by saliva the film rapidly hydrates and adher onto the site of application.
