Abstract

CYANOPHYCE ALGAE AT TERNA DAM IN OSMANABAD DISTRICT OF MAHARASHTRA

ABSTRACT

Present communication deals with the cyanophycean algal members occur at the Terna Dam in Osmanabad district of Maharashtra. The investigation was carried out at four different locations of water reservoir, for the study of the cyanophycean algae. During the present investigation, total six genera and twelve species were recorded from the water body, of which Anabaena is represented by 04, Aphanothece 02, Chroococcus 02, Scytonema by 02, Gloeotrichia 01, and Nostoc by 01species.
